Our Vision
Fountains Church Bradford
is a dream six years in the making.
Our building has a long and painful history. For many, this was the place to go for a night on the town. And for others, this was a place of pain. People were trafficked through this building. People were assaulted and traumatised here.
When we first got the keys, the building was a shell; four nightclubs that had been long abandoned. Every shred of metal, every valuable item had been ransacked, and the remaining husk had been damaged by squatters. 100kgs of needles were pulled out.
And so began five years of hard work, slowly transforming this broken building into a home and hub for Bradford. We started in the Lower Auditorium, our main worship space for many years, before working on the café, kitchens and Hub, before – finally! – completing the renovation of the Upper Auditorium. It has been a long labour of love and prayer.
Every time people gather in our building, every celebration, every music performance, every wedding, feels like a miracle. Each gathering is a reminder of God’s goodness, and his blessing over this building and the people of Bradford.
We love our city, and we love blessing our city! Our vision is to share God’s love with everyone, and each event we host offers an opportunity for strangers to come into our building and find belonging. Alongside our external hires, we host a number of ministry activities to connect with communities across Bradford. Each week we welcome parents with young tots, marginalised communities, those in search of hot meals or wellbeing space, and wrestling fans. Whether you’re on a faith journey or not, you’re invited to join us. For further information on our regular events, click here [insert hyperlink].
We are so blessed to share our building with you. Thank you for sharing your gathering with us.
